JP Duminy and the JP21 Foundation Give Hillwood Learners a Gift of Clothing
Hillwood Golf Academy is deeply grateful to JP Duminy and the JP21 Foundation for a generous donation of clothing for our young golfers. In the third school term this year, the clothing was handed out to the learners, and the smiles said it all.
A Foundation That Opens Doors
The JP21 Foundation was started in 2015 by former Proteas cricketer JP Duminy. It works to give children in under-resourced communities opportunities through sport, mainly cricket. It shares Hillwood's belief that talent can come from anywhere, as long as young people are given a chance.
Something to Choose, Something to Keep
The donation included sports clothing as well as regular dresswear, and the learners were able to look through it and choose items for themselves. For many of the children in our programme, good-quality clothing is not something that can be taken for granted. A warm top or a smart shirt helps a child feel comfortable and confident, ready to learn in the classroom and to take part on the golf course.
A Thank You to JP
JP, thank you. Thank you for thinking of our children, for the time and care that went into this gift, and for showing young people from our communities that someone who has played on the world stage believes in them. The learners will wear your gift with pride, and we are honoured to count you and the JP21 Foundation among our friends.
Thank you to JP Duminy and the JP21 Foundation for looking after our children and for helping them feel ready for whatever the day brings.

Help Hillwood look after our young golfers
Support from friends like the JP21 Foundation helps us provide coaching, equipment and care for young people who are growing through the game of golf. You can help too.
